1st round potential upsets??

As I mentioned earlier in the thread. I'm not focusing so much on the 5/12 games. I'm looking at these possible upsets:

Iowa/Tenn winner over 6 UMASS - UMASS was the 6 seed in their league tourney. They got a good seed because of their Non-Con performance. Not sure that they have improved over the course of the season.

10 St. Joes over UCONN - St. Joe's is playing well over the last two week. UCONN jacks up as many 3s as we do, but they don't shoot them as well.

14 WMU over Syracuse - I'm going to continue to research this one more. I just don't like the way Syracuse has played down the stretch and I think they were incredibly lucky throughout the season which led to an inflated record.

the 12/5 upset I will probably go with is the play-in game winner over St. Louis. St. Louis has alot of trouble scoring.

And Mercer will NOT beat Duke. It won't be close either.

I'm not the Bob Hoffman fan that some of you on this board are, but that could be a really good game. Mercer plays a style that could give Duke some problems.

That pressing defense is destroying them, 3 straight possessions they couldn't even get the ball 5 feet past their own rim without VCU stealing it and scoring.
