EVENT HISTORY

The 78th Oklahoma City All-College Classic is the world's oldest basketball tournament, predating the NCAA, NBA, NIT and NAIA events. The current doubleheader format began in 2001, and this year's tournament will feature both the Oklahoma State men and women’s basketball teams –ALL ORANGE ALL-COLLEGE. This will also mark the first time that a women's matchup will be featured in the history of the event.

GAME MATCHUPS AND PREVIEWS

This year's tournament will feature a Men's and Women's game on Saturday December 14th. The Men's game will be at 1pm, featuring the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. The Women's game will be at 3:30pm, featuring the Oklahoma State Cowgirls and the University of South Florida Bulls.

Men's Matchup: Sports Nation Preseason #10 Oklahoma State will take on the 2013 WAC Co-Champions Louisiana Tech. Oklahoma State is returning three core players, including All-American Marcus Smart, from a team that finished 24-9 last year and played in the NCAA tournament. Louisiana Tech is returning all five starters from their team which finished 27-7 last year and played in the NIT. With the experience that is returning for both teams, and the potential of both teams being in the top 25, this matchup will likely go down to the wire.

Women's Matchup: Sports Nation Preseason #19 Oklahoma State will take on the University of South Florida. Oklahoma State is returning three starters, including All-Americans Tiffany Bias and Liz Donohoe, from a team that finished 22-11 last year and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. The University of South Florida is also returning three starters from a team that finished 22-11 last year and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. With both teams returning key players from last year's teams, the Women's bill of the All College Classic should be one that everyone will remember.

Better than last year's. But, yeah, disappointing to see what has happened to it.

They continue this lie ...

The 78th Oklahoma City All-College Classic is the world's oldest basketball tournament

It is not a tournament and has not been one for a long time.

What brought on this all-aggies, all-the-time approach??

Early season tournaments aren't what they used to be. What happened? It's not like there's BCS style points to worry about. Are travel costs and school schedules just too constrained?

Surprised, OU has held this tourney up for years. I know as a fan i hated this because you just could not get a decent ticket on the side, no matter how early you tried it. The All sports association can kiss my a**, I'll never go again. Good luck selling those tickets to OSU - probably be about half full.

Thank goodness they had the fire marshal there last year to stop the attendance at 3,400 last year for the OU/A&M game. Could have been a madhouse.

I personally don't care if OSU is at the all college and not OU. But HoHum, lets remember the fact that OU carried this event for many years and it was only when ESPN came on board that OSU was brought in.
