2020 Recruiting

No one is saying OU could compete with Kansas in hoops in regards to tradition, atmosphere, crowd noise, etc - but please don't mention the pros. I seriously doubt there is even a 1% chance he has a better NBA career if he went to Kansas than OU. Kansas has had about 55-60 1st or 2nd round NBA Draft picks all time, and I think OU is at 17. Technically, Kansas 3rd all-NBA team should be as good or better than our 1st team. We'd actually wipe the floor with their 2nd team - and our 2nd team could actually hang with their 2nd team. Since Alvan Adams entered the league, OU has had three different players make the All-Star team and Kansas has had four...just not buying the KU advantage in the NBA.

ya see where I wrote the nba isn't the "end all"? In fact it's a slim chance any of these guys make it...IF a kid is going to spend 3-4 yrs at a school...then all those "other" things are probably a bit more important.

OU competing with ku/unc/duke etc for a recruit in bball is like ....

wics/oregon/a&m in football with OU for a recruit.

just my own opinion...

We can be at their level sometime but not the majority. flame away~

Bryce Thompson will be a 5 star in another week or 2.

Absolutely blew up this weekend.

He won’t fall for the blue bloods with their recent offers, will he? I’d like to see him stay close to home like Trae. It’s very possible to get to the league from Norman.

we now are at 40% with ku 40% osu 20%

ku has 6 CG on roster
OU has 5
unc has 3
msu has 0 but says no offer yet as well so that might be wrong.

that might factor in as well...

I think Thompson is visiting Norman this weekend. They absolutely love his game. Hopefully he will love the Sooners.

Nice article about Thompson on The Athletic today. Not much info about his recruitment, it mainly focuses on his upbringing and how his game has developed. Seems like a great family, and man would he be a great fit playing alongside Harmon and JB for multiple years.

The visit is cancelled

It goes without saying this is a huge recruit for Lon. Hope the family ties keep him close to home. Gotta sell the development of Buddy and the star power the OU brand seems to inspire (numerous player of the years in b-ball and football). Star point guard on the roster should help as well! Go get em Lon

I think Harmon playing at OU may not be a positive thing since they play the same position.
