2021 Recruiting

Atiki is clearly a little bit of a project ... but he is athletic and is big
Please, no more projects. Give me the undersized guy who can play the game.

I'm tired of bringing guys to campus and spending years teaching them the basics of the game of basketball. I'd rather have some players.

to me the 12th and 13th roster spots should be for a project big and for a development wing

You cant have 13 4 stars on the roster. Just doesnt work that way. Then youd be mad when 3 transfer every year. risk on the 12/13th man on the roster isnt a bad thing.

I agree, but we already have 3 project bigs. Two are RS freshmen and the other is a sophomore. How many should we have.

Who are the projects other than assanza/kur?

Garang is a wing and iwuakor was a 4* recruit with offers across the country.

Coach, hearing that since Lucas is not a full time assistant at uk he is not allowed to recruit Collins unless he makes it to campus. That could be a huge development in his recruitment. What are you hearing?

victor will play a ton. He's been in the gym, as has all the guys.

I still think OU leads but I havent heard lately. I did hear as dumb as it sounds that Collins was a plan B for them.

Collins family wants him close to home. I think we land him in the end.

Music to my ears. As raw as he appeared last year he seemed to have a pretty good midrange. If he develops a comfort within the flow to add to his athleticism, shot blocking, and rebounding look out.

Yeah, he is going to be a great player for ou really soon imo. Not close to a big man project.

Again I hope your right, as I have high hopes for Victor as well. He is a high energy guy, but he has to learn to control it sometimes.

He showed a pretty good mid-range jumpshot at times last year. Just quit shooting it later in the year.

Promising news on Collins if Lucas cannot be involved in his recruitment. This may end up being a fantastic class.
