One could argue that for a top-line player, a school like OU (and the other schools you mentioned) gives a five-star player the best of both worlds -- he get to be THE top dog at his school and if he really delivers on the court, he'll get all the publicity he could ask for.

I agree... I think the coaching at the lower levels is likely similar, but you are right, they would be playing against a lower level player as a whole, and thus wouldn't enter the NBA in as good condition to compete against pros.
 
Made the top 7 for CJ Nolan’s. Lots of Big 12 schools on his list, and Houston.
 
I heard we were competing with Kansas State, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Troy, Vanderbilt and TCU -- don't know if that's accurate.
 
Collins talked about the head coaches at UK and Texas, but no mention of OU’s head coach. Am I reading too much into that?

Good to hear! I knew he loved Coach Kruger’s horses and that he enjoyed the time he spent in Norman with his buddy, Bijun Cortes.

We can only hope the lure of the bright lights at UK and their slick (but slimy) coach fails to convince him he can’t stay close to home and find success by following in Blake, Buddy and Trae’s footsteps!

I think it's good news. They are so comfortable with each other they just talk as friends.

I'm going to have to agree. That doesn't sound great for OU. Especially the bolded part. That usually means either somebody is dying or we're going to different colleges. Hope i'm wrong!

Besides the highly touted guys, there always seems to be alot of secrecy surrounding OU basketball recruiting. I guess one good thing is we don't hear of a rash of offers going out to other backup plans. Hopefully they feel good about the guys they are recruiting. But with all the secrecy, who knows?

OU has 4 spots available, and one commit. Will be interesting to see who we get..
