7 Wildcats going pro = #BuddyBack

Yeah, sure, but they don't draft guys that don't play double digit minutes in college. He very well could be a first rounder some day. But it's not this year.

Again, they draft on potential. If they see that potential in a kid that only played 10 mpg on a really good team, they will take them in the first round.

If you can give me an example of one time ever that a player has averaged single digit minutes in his freshman season and been drafted in the first round, I'll shut up.

If he had that much potential to play in the League, he'd be getting more than 10min in college.

Orton was close... Im not doing the research to find one though!

Zach Lavine last year. Didn't start for UCLA and scored a total of 11 points in his last 5 games. Lottery pick.

he played 20+ minutes a game

And Duke was a much better and deeper team than UCLA.

The NBA understands why K didn't play him that much. If thye like his talent, they're going to take him in the first round. It's that simple.

Anyone comparing Lavine's upside to Grayson has lost their mind. Grayson is a nice player and will be very good but Lavine was a freak of nature athlete with excellent size for his position.

After one year as a RESERVE at Kentucky, Daniel Orton was drafted in the 1st round.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Orton#College_career

Orton was a reserve on the 2009–10 Kentucky Wildcats basketball team, where he averaged 3.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks in 13.2 minutes per game. On May 8, 2010, Orton hired an agent and declared himself eligible for the 2010 NBA draft.

... Orton was picked by the Orlando Magic with the 29th overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft. On July 1, 2010, Orton signed his rookie contract with the Magic. On December 1, 2010, it was announced that Orton would be sent to the New Mexico Thunderbirds of the NBA Development League. In his second game for the Thunderbirds, Orton suffered a season-ending knee injury.

Kanter played 0.00 min at Kentucky and went 3rd in the draft

There's a difference between being ineligible to play and your coach believing that he has 9 other players that are better than you on his team.
