Schedule couldn't open up at a better time. The team has won 7 of 8 in the toughest conference in the country and had to gut out the past 2 wins. Guys are emotionally and physically tired, but learned something in wins vs Texas and at Texas Tech.

Yesterday was such a huge trap game vs a team that had already beaten Iowa State on that floor. Tech shot the lights out and Sooners still found a way to win. I thought they would lose and that was before the game. Most were frustrated with yesterday. I was delighted.

This will be a great week of preparation for the stretch run. Coaches love to have the momentum of wins, but the urgency of close calls to get players' attention. Kruger & Co couldn't have asked for anything better.

Perfect scenario. It's fun to be an OU basketball fan right now. Enjoy the week, fellas.

One of the main reasons I was so pleased with yesterday's win is due to the number of things against us.

1. Tech was hitting shots. Lots of them.
2. Buddy was cold.
3. Woodard was beat up.
4. Spangler was still feeling the effects of the Texas game.

Winning yesterday was absolutely vital. Now we get a chance to nurse some wounds and keep our momentum going. Good teams win without their fastball, and I'm very proud of getting it done yesterday in the face of all that adversity.

Agree with both posts.

Yesterday's game was a loss just waiting to happen. How anyone can complain about that win and surmise that we're likely gonna lose (to TCU, ISU or both) as a result of how we played against Tech, it's just beyond me.

Oh, well. Let's get healed up and ready for the next one.

Count me in the pleased-as-punch club. That was a terrific win yesterday. I didn't think our D was as bad as many did; Tech was just impossibly hot from the field. It happens.

Not that we played as well as we can -- not by a long shot. But we toughed it out and put it in the win column.
