AK is out again

I can't help you if you think AK is the same as Bennett. If DJ was 7 feet instead of 6-8 then he would have been a much different story...

Because he's taller makes him better? Spangler and Thomas are 6'8...would Bennett have played more if he was 7'0...answer is no!

From the looks of it, it appears that Spangler, Buford, Lattin and McNease are ahead of him right now. Spangler is going to get his 30 minutes a game just like the last 2 years so AK is looking at about 5 mins or less on this team.

Disagree COMPLETELY. Bennett had some skills, but he did not give us enough of a mismatch in any facet of the game to play him more than we did. If you add 4" to his height (and some length to his arms with that growth), he would have created mismatches on both sides of the floor. He CERTAINLY would have played more because of his increased ability to defend given his size. This would be especially true against 7 footers that Spangler could not guard.

Lol so Spangler and Thomas would've started if they were 6'4? Or even been at OU?

AK is a legit 7'-0", I'm 6'-4" and he towered over me. If we can get 15-18 minutes a game to get boards, clog the lane, get 6-10 pts on "garbage" buckets, he will have done his job this year. We may need him more against bigger teams, say Texas. The beauty of this team is the depth and Lon can go purely situational, there maybe games he sees less than 10 minutes, and it could be purely who the opposition is throwing out there. In my limited contact, I thought I saw enough ability that he could be very similar to Longar by the time he is done.
