Coach Capel said that Drew has lost 16 pounds since the start of the season, and has been doing a lot of "extra things" to try and get himself ready to play.

This might explain why he is all of the sudden being utalized more.

Anybody else see his game (style, not his body) in the mold of Nate Carter, a bit?

Specifically talking about the short jumper from the baseline. Not a lot of players like that shot, but Nate did, and Drew seems to. That is a good shot for a big to have, b/c if a guard drives, and the big's man helps out, that jumper is ALWAYS open.

Open on the dribble drive and as the short-corner in a 2-3 zone. If Fitz can perfect that shot, he will get a lot of opportunities to knock that down.

If we have any hope for 8-8 in conference or better, I think it rests on two things:

1) continued defensive improvement
2) Andrew Fitzgerald's development

Drew has a chance with his length, touch, and motor to really help us, and we will HAVE to play two big men simultaneously a lot of the time in conference.

Ryan Wright is what he is...and Big O. hasn't shown the skill that Drew has.
