Another Travis Ford Transfer

Great he went to Osu instead of OU. Shoulda been a Sooner

He is transferring back to the DFW area to be closer to his father, who has been ill Roger's entire career at O-State.

how much does this impact OSU? He played 13 minutes a game last season. I would be curious about the opinion of the OSU people on this forum. (for the record this is one time when I actually care what OSU people think)

It would be about the same if oh, Barry Honore left OU.

Franklin was fun to watch because he gave a lot of effort. But he was too slow to guard 3's and too short to guard 4's. And his offensive game consisted of 15 foot jump shots and missed dunks. He was good at setting screens though.

Honore only played 5.7 minutes per game so I would speculate it is bigger than that.

Franklin didn't play that many minutes really until Williams got in trouble. And was going to be behind Cobbins, Olukemi, Nash and maybe Brian Williams for playing time at the 4 this year.

He only averaged 1.7 points and 2.3 rebounds a game in those minutes. So, no, I don't think it's all that much bigger than that.

Great person who's game doesn't translate well to the Big XII. He sets good picks and has a nice shot from about 15 feet.

I think he will be missed more in the locker room more than on the floor. He was a solid bench player, but I don't think he would ever start a OSU. He was a great kid (wants to be a preacher I believe) and put out a ton of effort. Kids like him effect the entire team in a positive way. He will be missed.

I believe "affect" is the word you were looking for. Most sentences seem to work better when they contain a verb.

Calm down, kids. No grammar Nazi. Just having a little fun with the aggies.

I never understood why Roger would choose to play in Ford’s system. It didn’t fit his game. He was one of my favorite recruits of his class and I hope he finds a school that can showcase his talents.

This is not good news for ford. He cannot lose the kids that are good team guys. I think that it is his biggest problem is that he recruits all these scorers and those kids come with attitudes and needing the ball. In my opinion he did not handle it well this last year and it does notlook good considering they are going to have more next year.

After watching him the last few years, I'm not sure what system he would fit in, so that he would really shine. His offensive game was really limited (from what I watched) to 15-18 foot jumpers, which he was good at. His handles were surprisingly weak, because I figured he would be able to take some bigger guys off the dribble.

But, he gave/gives a ton of energy and the fans love that, enough to overlook deficiencies in skill and other things.
