Anybody else peeved we are playing AT Dayton?

Thanks WT.

Everyone keep in mind we have posters who do not think officiating has any impact on game outcomes. Then why in the world don't they just let home teams hire folks out of their athletic department to call their home games? It would save lots of travel expenses - and according to these folks it would never have any impact on the game results. Lots of upside and no downside.

WT, we will just leave it up to you to contact the NCAA with that suggestion.

I'm not the one complaining about a team getting to play in their home state as an underdog, and indirectly setting up the officiating excuse. So I don't need to contact the NCAA about anything. All I'm worried about is OU showing up and playing a good game. They do that, we're going to the Sweet 16.

lol @ the concept of "fairness" meaning that only top seeded teams get to play close to home. I mean Kentucky playing in Louisville, Kansas playing in Omaha or OU playing in OKC is perfectly fair ... but 11 seed Dayton playing in Columbus? OMG what a rigged unfair disaster by the committee. hahahahaha

It's no surprise the ref whiners are leading this charge.

The real lack of fairness is garbage teams like OSU and Texas getting in while Colorado State does not simply because of the ESPN dopes hyping up a clearly overrated Big XII conference that beat virtually nobody out of conference.

We should beat Dayton or our "quality" wins were exaggerated and our losses to Creighton, Washington and Kansas State told the real story.

Hopefully our guys come out with a Marcus Smart edge today, play vicious and do whatever it takes to win. Then the ref whiners can think up something new to cry about before the next game.

The losses to K State are particularly puzzling - and worrisome. Just should not have happened. So why did they?

Well said. All the way around on the court we look like the better team. If we play well and use our strengths we win, if not it probably won't be the NCAA and/or the officiating.

Why is it so hard to understand losing to KSU when they also beat KU and ISU? Losing to them twice was tough to take, for sure, but we lost the second game at the free throw line. We held them to 26.5% shooting from the field; without a huge disparity in fouls called, we win comfortably.

Oh, but Oklahoma playing in OKC isn't an advantage (happened in 2003). It happens. Higher seed or not, the committee has a curve they place teams on. If OU had ended up playing Providence, as they thought, this wouldn't be a discussion. All OU can do is go win. This is not a real advantage, unless OU lets it become one.

#1 seeds are supposed to play close to home. #11 seeds are not.

That said, we should win regardless of crowd. If we cannot then we didn't deserve it anyway.
