Anyone else jacked to watch the All-Star festivities this year?

I'll be watching all weekend and will watch my first NBA All-Star game in I'm not sure how many years...

I am. This is the most excited I've been about the All-star weekend in my life. Not just because it's 3 days of Blake Griffin. But because this may be the best collection of all-star since 1992 IMO.

92 - Barkley, Malone, Jordan, Olajuwon, Robinson, Ewing, Stockton, Pippen etc

2011 - Wade, James, Griffin, Durant, Kobe, Howard, Dirk, Rose, Duncan, Allen, Peirce etc

It's really a great group.

Duncan should not be in this game...travesty Aldridge didn't get a spot.

Durant should not be in the 3pt contest...he shoots 34% from behind the arc, every other competitor shoots 41%+. Why isn't Korver in it?

Is it a certainty that Blake will be competing? Heard on ESPN radio a bit ago that they weren't sure if he would still be there due to the death of his friend. There is an article on ESPN that talks a little about it.

Have to think it is up in the air now...however, I think a tribute to Holloway would be an awesome spectacle. Wear his HS jersey or something, would really get his story out there in the mainstream.

In the artical there is a quote from a Clippers spokesperson that Blake will still participate in All star weekend. But man that is tough. My sophmore year we lost one of our teammates to cancer it is very tough on a person. My thoughts and prayers are with Holloways firends and family

I agree that it would be a cool tribute to wear Holloway's jersey or something. I am an OSU fan, but have always been a fan of the Griffin boys. Sure wish Eddie and Sean had recruited Taylor, but that is neither here nor there. I hope things work out so Blake can attend the All-star festivities and his friend's memorial service. My prayers go out to everyone who knew this courageous young man.
