Asst Coach Search update?

It may be 4 years so he can ride through with the incoming class, but I just don't think Kruger or Joe C will want him getting old on the bench. That's a personal opinion, not any kind of inside scoop.

Not buying that. Lon hasn't received a contract extension since the final 4 season. Joe won't fire him. But if the product doesn't improve, Lon will have to make a decision in 2 years. Retire or find another job.
 
Also, I like the two hires a lot. I think the Crutch to Pooh is a pretty even trade, and Molinari should be a big upgrade over Kruger in terms of experience and pedigree.
 
i kinda like the hires....all things being equal. wait and see.....

not from or ever pull for Mizzou hoops (since i cut my teeth "hating on"/yelling "sit down" Norm)....but "show me".....

Since that comment was made his grandkids have moved from Norman to Nashville.

On the OU Men's hoops FB page, a poster stated that his late grandfather coached Pooh in high school and considered him a fine man (and knowledgeable) on and off the court. Anecdotal, but nice to hear.
 
The grandkids are several years from extracurricular activities.
 
I like the Pooh hire and really hope he helps elevate our recruiting.

Yeah, I know this class is very good but the previous ones were less so. Why can’t we continue to improve recruiting? Is that not something to hope for? We just signed a really good class, so we shouldn’t want to get better every year?

Huh? What do you mean? We should rest and not recruit a good class for another 5 years?

Asking because I don't know for sure.....is it a top 20 class because we got great players...or because we signed 7? players??

Or a combination of both?

Quantity plays a role but quality of the players is more important. If you sign seven kids who are one or two star players, you won't do well in the class rankings.

Of course we can improve. But it sounded like you were bashing.
