I hope he is wrong. I would really like to see OU start to consistently land some of the top kids from the DFW area.

James Hale posted an interview with AG. He certainly speaks highly of OU and our coaches, but he's taking all of his visits and seems to be very much enjoying the recruiting process, so I think it's too early for anyone's prediction to have much validity at this point.

Hale's article says he is taking an unofficial on Saturday and will take one of five officials to OU. Those are both quotes from Grandstaff.

the worst thing in the article is that he said he back off OSU because he thought he was going to get better and get interest from other schools. He might have said big schools. That is a little scary because it might mean KU, Duke or someone like that could come in late and get him.

I never thought there was a good chance of him committing Saturday. I'm fine if he doesn't. I just think it's good that OU gets his first visit after decommitting from osu.

I still think distance will be a factor. As much as I like the kid, not sure he is on the level of most Duke/KU kids. Doesn't mean he couldn't be a Plan B or C for them. Florida just seems so far away, and while they win, I wouldn't consider them elite.

The line about why he backed off osu might just be lip service. I think his dad finally saw that Ford was a clown, and didn't want his kid playing there for 4 years. Maybe I'm wrong though.

If i were a parent I would want my kid to stay as far away from ford as possible. This has nothing to do with osu and everything to do with his lack of control with stevie clark and marcus smart
