Admittedly I didn't watch Duke play at all last year so I was wondering from those who did.

Austin Rivers was the #1 rated recruit last year ahead of even Davis from Kentucky. A year later the initial mock drafts have him anywhere from #9 to #16.

In your opinion was the original evaluation wrong or is he being dragged down because of his Duke team/style and possibly a steal in the up coming draft?

the word is he is to selfish and doesnt make his teammates better. But at number 16 I would say he is a steal. At number 9-12 sounds about right.

He was rated #1 in his HS class. How many of THOSE kids are ahead of him in the draft rankings? My guess is not many. He has a high ceiling, but he hasn't reached it yet.

Doesn't have a true position right now. Needs to have the ball in his hands a lot to be really effective.

Good point. He is the 5th rated player in mock drafts from his class behind Davis, Drummond, Gilcrist & Beal so not that huge of a decline in ranking.

According to ESPN those 5 were the top five in the class. They had:

1. Davis
2. Drummond
3. Rivers
4. Kidd-Gilcrest
5. Beal

Rivals had it:
1. Rivers
2. Davis
3. Kidd-Gilcrest
4. Beal

and had Drummond as a 5 star but he wasn't listed on their top 150.

I would say none of them were over or under rated.

Bradley Beal will be the best perimeter player out of this class, IMO. Kid has so much skill and his ceiling is really high. Got lost at times at UF this year with so many quality guards.

My opinion after watching him allot this year. OVERRATED. Terrible free throw shooter and not great from the 3 point line. Plays no defense. Should have stayed in school another year.
