If we beat Texas on Saturday (and assuming we win @TCU), we are guaranteed no worse than the #3 seed.....no matter what else happens. If we win out, obviously we are the #2.

2. Oklahoma (12 - 6) Defeated West Virginia based on head-to-head record.
3. West Virginia (12 - 6) Lost to Oklahoma based on head-to-head record.
4. Texas (11 - 7) Defeated Baylor based on record against #2 teams.
5. Baylor (11 - 7) Lost to Texas based on record against #2 teams.
6. Iowa State (10 - 8)
7. Texas Tech (9 - 9)
8. Kansas State (5 - 13)
9. Oklahoma State (3 - 15)
10. TCU (2 - 16)

OU has won 2 in a row. If OU can win the next 3 and finish the regular season on a 5 game winning streak, then a #1 NCAA seed may be a lock, no matter what happens in the B12 Tourney.

We're getting pretty close to a #1 lock as it is, barring disasters against Baylor and TCU.

First, Tech's a pretty good team but I'd much rather play them than Iowa St in the tournament if for no other reason than the Cyclones travel really well to the conference tournament. Second, I want the tournament selection committee to see us as finishing 2nd in the conference, not 3rd. It's much easier to give us a #1 seed if we finished 2nd to another #1, one who could end up being #1 overall, than if we finished 3rd in our own conference. And I want that #1 seed.

I see your point but the ISU and KU fans will be against us in the Tech game so Tech will seem like the home team as far as fan support is concerned.

I just want to avoid KSU. Weber has our number.
