Obviously the Ball State that showed up tonight against ND wasn't the same one that showed up against us. Of course, we had a say in their performance here.

Some other really good matchups tonight. WV beat Virginia....which is a nice win for the conference. And Texas escaped VCU as well. Big 12 is looking strong again.

Notre Dame is always overrated. Their football team was rated as high as #5 this year. Happens almost every year. Their season ending rankings are usually a season low.

Ball State is probably a pretty good team. We will beat a lot of teams if we play as well as we played Ball State. We hit them in the mouth early and they never recovered.

Notre Dame needs to do a better job at scheduling in football.

Georgia, USC, Stanford, Miami, Michigan State, NC State in the same season....They played against 4 or 5 times who were in around the top 10 at some point in the season.

Michigan/Michigan State and USC should be the toughest teams they play all year. If they won those and went undefeated they would give themselves a better chance at the playoff.

If I was "independent" and had freedom to schedule whoever I wanted, it would look more like this:

Ball State
Miami of Ohio
Florida Atlantic
Army
Navy
Syracuse/Miami
USC
Utah State
Michigan/Michigan State
Florida International
Indiana
Boston College

Except they're contracte to play 5 games every season against ACC schools as part of their deal to remain independent in football and ACC in all other sports
