Funny, was watching the game with my sons and they kept saying, "dad it's under control, OU is up by 20 with under 8 minutes to go"...... "still up 20, dad"......... "dad, there is four minutes left and Sooners lead by more than 20 still"

I was remembering last year's collapse in Austin and this year's at Creighton - but loved the way this team finished last night.

Woodard was really solid.

I was thinking, is this the most impressive win for Lon at OU? Sooners won at K-State in Lon's first or second season, but UT was much higher ranked than KSU was then.

Huge jump on the conference race last night!

OU wins by 20+ on the road and shot 41% - DANG!

I'm not trying to be pedantic but I've seen this misstatement a couple of times: That bad loss to texas was two years ago, not last season. Spangler was redshirting. Woodard was in high school. Cousins and Hield were freshmen, not juniors.

A very different team.

Best road win we've had as a basketball program in a long time. We've had better home wins over the years but not much. They never really let up all game. The closest it really got in the 2nd half was 20.

Right, and we had one ballhandler to put on the floor. Having Walker and Woodard (and Cousins is improved) helps deal with pressure.

We have been saying since early the season that if this team can put everything together for forty minutes, they're going to be really good. Well, they did that last night. Oh, I suppose one could say it was more like 37 or 38 minutes, but it was the first complete game the team has played all season. The result was a blow out win on the road against a ranked team.

Gotta give Kruger some of the credit, though. He had his players ready to play. The game plan in defending UT's bigs and at the same time keeping their guards under control was a thing of beauty. I have never seen a good team more frustrated, especially in the first half.

I don't know if that was the best win in Lon's OU era, but it was definitely the most convincing. I was so jacked last night, I'm still on a high this morning.

Great, great win last night!

Was really impressed.

For my money, OU is the odds on favorite to break KU's streak and win the Big 12 this year.

Best win I have seen for a long time. The only thing that may compare is one of Kelvins upsets of Kansas in the Big 12 Tournament.

Hard to compare. This was a total beatdown while the most memorable wins for me have been closer games where we beat someone we were not supposed to win. Now we were not supposed to win at Austin but it was expected to be close.

I think definitely one of the best games played by Lon's teams. But winning over Texas on their court in such dominating fashion makes it very special.

Having said that we can play better. Buddy was like 1-5 from behind the arc and Booker is a long way from his normal form. Cousins put up a couple of bad shots and we got a little ragged at one point down the stretch. The thing that kept our margin was our defense rather than the offense. We not only defended well but we made them use a lot of clock to get an open shot.

You could make an argument that it was the most impressive victory of any team this season!

It was a great win.....but I'm not sure Texas should have been rated in the top 10. I guess we'll know more as the conference schedule plays out.

In other news.....I learned a new word today. Pedantic. Thanks, Skyvue!

Thanks man. I'm sure regardless of what OSU does tonight against Iowa State, you must be happy with their overall performance so far this year. Bedlam should be interesting.

I thought OSU was going to get ISU last night, thought Nash played really well. OSU is not a team to overlook, imo.
