Big 12 talk (other teams games )

Dayton, who have lost at home to UMass Lowell, Lipscomb and Austin Peay, are giving KU all they can handle. They're up five with six minutes to go.

KU loses by one. They took the lead late, but lost on a rainbow of a last-second shot from the free-throw line that hit the rim, bounced high and hit the upper part of the glass, and then fell in a split-second after the buzzer.

Sweet

One more little detail that makes that much sweeter the unlikely winning shot that inspired a million tears from Jayhawks fans: It was the only shot that player attempted the entire game.

Ku shooting 9/20 ft’s… lol.

What glorious night.

Now, isu looks really tough. Not sure what they were predicting for them but def not the season they had last year.

As usual the Big 12 is loaded. OSU might finish last.

Kansas State 10
TCU 9
OSU 8

OU, ISU, Texas Tech, and West Virginia in some order for 4-7

Baylor, Texas, Kansas in 1, 2, 3

Watching Tech and Providence. Close game. Tech is like last year, athletic but not going to overwhelm you.

They have nothing to play for and it shows

If they really feel that way, that's terrible coaching. They have a 20-win season to play for (if they haven't already blown that), a Big 12 title to play for, their fans to play for, their university to play for, their coach to play for and pride to play for. I don't for one second buy the notion that the tourney is the only reason to play hard.

If I were an aggie (coughcough) and I had even a hint that my team wasn't playing because they couldn't go to the tourney, I'd be embarrassed and angry.

All that said, Wichita State is 6-1, no real shame in losing to them, I wouldn't think.
