Big 12 talk (other teams games )

WSU has a good team. Pokes are not off to a good start but losing to WSU this season is not a bad loss by any means.

I checked their Kenpom....they are #54. The pokes are still at #45, but fading fast. OU has moved up to #38. But his ratings really don't fall in-line until mid-January.

Iowa State was picked 10th in the Big 12 and are undefeated at ranked 19. Crazy

OSU is not very good, OU will beat them in Norman at a minimum.

Pokes go down to Wichita at home.....yikes.

Weird series. They pointed out up here that it’s the 5th straight game between those 2 in which the road team came out on top. Kind of reminds me of our FB series against tOSU (road team is 4-0).

I'm never one to defend anyone connected with oswho, but I hope I live long enough to see the day that, in America, shedding tears is not viewed as a sign of weakness or a lack of masculinity, a shameful action to be done only in private and regretted afterward.

I suspect I won't live that long, though.

Shedding tears is not a sign of weakness! I get tears in my eyes when I watch a St Jude or Shriner’s hospital commercial, or see a sad movie. I cry because I’m sensitive, not because I’m weak!

Exactly! My father was a great man who was not ashamed to cry and never gave my brother and I the idea that there was anything unmanly about shedding tears. It's one of the greatest (among many) gifts he gave me.

I cry for the same reasons, Ada – and whenever I fill my gas tank.

All good reasons, scrybe, and that includes the cost of fuel and a lot of other necessities these days!

My parents severed my lacrimal ducts when I was born. Two-for-one with the circumcision.

I didn't really focus on the fact he poked fun at him for crying, I mostly was just enjoying the fact he was making fun of a poke.

I certainly have no problem with anyone crying. It is an emotional release, and often good for the soul. The greatest, and strongest Man to walk the earth in my opinion was Jesus, and he had no problem weeping in front of others.

I could list many times I've freely cried in front of others, as I work with children every day, many from traumatic and abusive situations. When I was doing abuse, neglect, and sexual abuse investigations, I often cried along with the law enforcement officers I worked with, seeing some of the things adults do to children. Crying is as normal an emotion as laughing.

I apologize if I offended anyone with the rolling emojis. I didn't really consider the message I was sending....

No apology necessary. I may have come off too harshly. I do think too many people (especially men) are raised to feel shame or embarrassment when they cry, an attitude I think does harm, but if I came off as pointing a finger at you, then it's I who should apologize for pontificating.

I have nothing against men crying.
I just laugh at those fake crying or crying for ridiculous reasons

Good road win by ISU at Creighton. They are beatable but it won’t be easy.

Anxious to see how many home and road conference games we win this year.
