Big 12 talk (other teams games )

The Houston/Bama game last night was fun to watch and the end was awfully rough for Houston. I will say, the video of Kellen Sampson after the game is pretty embarrassing. That reminds me of something Gregg Marshall’s family would do. Houston had every reason to be pissed at the refs, but kicking/breaking chairs and making a mess that one of the players cleaned up with no help from the coaching staff is pretty lame. Not the end of the world by any means, but definitely would be embarrassing if an OU coach did that.

The link below shows this was a bad look for Houston basketball.

Man, I just saw that. That was pretty bad. I hope that doesn't come back to bite Kellen. Epitome of classless. But I tell you, that other kid sticking around to clean it up? Talk about heartwarming. What was that player's name? What a great person.

Jamal Shead. Agree completely, so impressive he stopped to clean it up while all his teammates and coaches either stood by watching or walked to the locker room.

great for Mr. Shead...

funny, guessing Mr. Shead will have a much better career than Kellen on the floor. He definitely acted much more mature.

Pokes escape Cleveland State with an OT win in Stillwater 98-93

Kellen is a loser. I was blown away by posters wanting him at OU as HC. Crazy. Talk about selling our program short.. we have a final 4 coach that is going to be a star. We are way better than having to grovel for a coach's son that hasn't done anything

osu's next 5 games are against ranked opponents. Probably not gonna be a very fun season for the aggies.

The folks banging the drum for kellen were hilariously off-base. Have to admit he did look like a clown kicking the chair. Kellen is not a loser, though. He is a sooner

my mom watches ET..that night talk show...(ya I'm at my parents spending time with my dad..maybe a yr or so left)

BUT...Mr. Shead actually made the show...and his act of cleaning the **** up. No mentioned of an ASST COACH trashing the chair just the player tipping the can over.

Going to be a black eye for U of H for awhile

Give me an effing break.

Moser literally went down to the floor during the Arkansas game when something happened he didn't like. Who was the non-OU coach that used to do that all the time that OU fans would ream? Feels like it might have been baby Sutton, but I can't recall.

All coaches have their moments. Not a good look for Kellen, but it was ONE moment. I'd rather my coach do that than pay players, drive drunk, hit players, or any number of other things that go on fairly regularly.

Are you really comparing Moser falling to the floor for two seconds when he was frustrated by a careless turnover to Kellen kicking and breaking a chair, then walking off the court while a player tried to clean up the mess? If you watch the entire video from the time the game ended till Kellen kicked the chair, he was far and away the most embarrassing member of the Houston staff. Other coaches were angry, but he acted like a child the entire time. And not all coaches have moments like that. In fact, many coaches go their entire career without doing something like that.

As to your latter point, no one is suggesting that what he did is as bad as hitting players or driving drunk, and no one has suggested he be fired or even suspended. We all know that a lot goes on behind the scenes, but it’s one thing to throw and break stuff in the locker room or in a closed practice, and quite another to do it on the court. It shows terrible judgment. Heck, just take 10 more steps, get into the locker room, and punch the heck out of a trash can or throw your dry erase board lol.

Your Sampson envy is showing and it’s not a good look!

Nothing hoopsaustin said gave you an excuse to compare a reaction Moser had during the Arkansas game to what Kellen did when protesting a no call at the end of the Bama game.

And, no matter how you feel about the Houston/Bama outcome (yes, UH got hosed), you should be ashamed of yourself for using Porter Moser’s name in the same paragraph with a Sutton.

I like Kellen, but his uncalled for, immature behavior was an embarrassment for him, his father and the university he represents. I’m glad he realized that a short time later.

Can’t find the AR thread but I just saw the highlights of Austin hitting the game winning 3 for the Lakers. Good to see him doing well.

Omg AND he was fouled on it IMO. Dude is killing it. I cannot believe it.

There's a thread on NBA OU players already.

Both Sampsons were way out of line. Also the officials got it right.
