Btw, it's called "show cause", and yes they do have the power. You have to go in front of the NCAA and show good reason why he should be allowed to coach for an NCAA school. Kelvin Sampson is currently under this for 5 years. It's pretty much a guaranteed no job during that time Spanish of no hire. i believe there is supposed to be a hearing in june concerning pearl. technically, i think a school could hire him now and avoid having to demonstrate cause for his hire. however i think the thought is that they would likely be hit by some penalties (applied to pearl).

if i was a struggling school, i'd probably risk it.

ku went through that with at least one of the rushes. they were living with a rich ku booster in swanky mission hills, driving his suv, and going to a private school. that was why williams didnt even touch the one that went to mu. but of course saint roy is always above all that. and you see what a mess the one that went to ucla was. when he was in hs and came to vegas for tourneys he had plenty of cash, women, booze and blow waiting for him.

Biggest waste of talent from this region in years. Jaron should've been a high level NBA player.
