Boom?

The thing about those highlight videos that were posted, the thing that excited me the most was how well he moves up and down the court...with a 7 footer running the court like that in Lon's system, it opens up the shot selection from him or a teammate.

Love this signing! Solid work from the Coaching staff

Solid. Really hope Thomas gets that waiver now, or we are pretty crowded in the post for 2015-2016.

Wow! Great news!!! Players with Manyang's size, athleticism and skills don't come along too often.

Great job, LK and crew! You, too, LL! I doubt if OU would have gotten this commitment without your help.

Not saying he'll be better than trier I just said he was higher on my wish list. With our team now I'd rather have a 7 foot athletic shot blocker than a score first point guard with concerns of how well he gets along with teammates.

Awesome pickup! I'm excited for what this team can do the next couple of years.

This early commit will really help with guard recruiting.

:D

"We are pretty crowded in the post."

Depth in the post is a new concept, and I just like the sound of that.

Think about it.

IF Thomas doesn't get to play this year, and nobody leaves, when is the last time an OU roster had this kind of post talent all available and eligible to play in the same season:

Spangler, Lattin, McNeace, Thomas, Manyang, and Buford (3/4) for good measure.

That is a crazy amount of talent on paper.

Yes, I am thinking about it. That is why it is hard to wipe the smile off my face. Coach Kruger and his staff have built up the roster the right way; therefore, the short-term and long-term prospects for the program look very good.

OU is poised to consistently make trips to the Big Dance, which is how it should be. There could be some deep runs in the tournament coming up.

Agreed. He is one/two guard in the 2015/2016 class(es) away from giving us a fairly seamless transition into our next run after guys like Buddy/Cousins/Spangler/Walker/Thomas graduate. It's really fun watching LK and staff put together these rosters, with both an eye on the current season, but also an eye down the road.

Just odd. top 5 JUCO player or top 10 player in Trier or top 50 player (soon) in Shake..

No offense, just different opinion I suppose.

Skilled 7 footers don't grow on trees. And rarely do they make it to OU

Guards that Avg 30 a game in the toughest ELYB league don't grow on trees either. Something no one has ever done...

It works both ways.
