Bracketology update after today's loss

That's exactly what he had before the game, which makes sense. His bracket has been comparatively bearish on OU this week as well.

That has Duke as a 1 seed and Miami as a 3 seed. Miami won the ACC. That just isn't right. Now if Duke beats Miami in the conference tournament, maybe but right now I don't see how you can put miami at a 3 and Duke at 1.

Because Duke played without its most important, if not best player for most of the season. It's pretty simple really.

11 is fine.

The only downside is 11 is ripe for a 'First Four' play-in game.

some bubble teams to root against
(ASU lost, I booted them, St Mary's is done, they are probably in - L to Gonzaga in the WCC final. Same thing with Wichita State, they lost to Creighton in the MVC final, they're probably in already, I also took Iowa State off the list, they gotta be in now.)

Alabama (Fri)
Baylor (vs OSU)
Ole Miss (Fri)
Tennessee (W)
Kentucky (Fri)
Villanova (vs Louisville)
LA Tech (vs UTSA, WAC favs, maybe a loss makes them a bubble team)
Akron (Fri?, the MAC favs, I guess a loss puts them on the bubble)
Temple (Fri)

Pull for Louisville over Villanova.
Basically we just need one of those SEC teams to lose. Probably Bama or Ole Miss.
Kentucky is gonna get a lot of favor if they are even close.

I don't think Baylor could bump us, so their results don't bother me, personally.

The CBS bubble watch, which had us in the "should be in group" for over a week, says that we are now firmly "on the bubble". That is certainly deserved due to our absolute collapse.

We are still projected in for now on most sites, but we really are relying on other teams to finish what we could not at this point. Fingers crossed. :OUbball-logo:

Where you finish in your conference standings has become less and less important. As a whole, Duke has a significantly better profile than Miami over the entire season...even though they finished one game behind Miami in the ACC. And they have Kelly back....I believe they've only lost one game (Virginia) since his return.

Ill take Miami on a neutral court against anyone, they are as nasty as it gets when clicking and I think the best team in the country.

Az State, Akron, and St Mary's have already a lost.

TN won today.

(if any of these teams have already lost, let me know and I'll edit)

Alabama
Baylor
Ole Miss
Arizona State
New Mexico State
Tennessee
Kentucky
Villanova
St Marys
LA Tech
Akron
Wichita State
Iowa St
Temple

Arizona state lost today. St Mary's and Wichita State are already finished with their conference tournaments. Akron lost their PG for the remainder of the season. New Mexico state's profile is terrible...they aren't getting in unless they win their conference tourney.

If you're going to do that, you should add Virginia and Umass and remove Akron because, even though they're still in their tournament, the MAC probably won't get two teams in.

Akron lost their stud PG, they ain't getting in without winning their tournament.

Just so everyone knows - Lunardi has us as a lock along with Iowa St now. Baylor still on the outside looking in.

Should Duke still be a number 1 seed in front of Miami? Miami won the conference and has gone further in the conference tournament.

If OU is a lock great. Worried about bubble team Ole Miss. They beat UK and get Vandy in the SEC semis. Could win it all and take someone's spot.
