Had 24 points and 17 rebounds today as OSU took care of KU. As of now, I think she is the conference POY.

I suspect that a POY will come from the conference champion or runner-up, neither likely to be OSU.

It is far too early to know who will be POY. I expect it will be KK or Gioya or Little, or maybe Maddie. Just teasing. :D

Maybe Martin. Maybe Jones if BU keeps feeding her the ball. Maybe even Johnson. And I don't think Nina is out of the picture yet. Maybe Imani if things play out just right.

Or maybe someone who comes on like gangbusters as the seasons progresses.

The fact it is not clear suggests the league doesn't seem to have a single dominant player this year. Some years we all know by this point. But not this time.

Martin has been named Big 12 Player of the Week for the fourth time this season. She averaged 25 points (52.3% FG) and 15.5 rebounds per game in wins against ISU and KU.

She may not end up as the Player of the Year, but she's been the most impressive player so far. And her team is overachieving while she leads the way.

I'd love to have her on my team.

"Brittney Martin is, in my opinion, the Big 12 Player of the Year to this point. She’s really making plays and is a senior and handled herself like a senior.”

I certainly agree with Sherri. We would be considerably better if she was a Sooner.
