Bryce Thompson Transferring

I dont wish anything bad on the kid....he chose what he thought was best for him...but wouldnt it be a pain in the rear if they got like a 2 year post-season ban?

Good luck to him. Boyton is sooo overrated. Last season was a failure for him but everyone is all enamored with him for underachieving for some reason

I get the impression that the Thompsons do not care about the post season but are strictly interested in impressing the NBA folks for the future. In this age of the transfer portal, this is more of a reality than ever before. They got burned at Kansas because Bill Self is going to adjust his team to win and go to the post season over all other things. Nobody can say that KU wasn't better at the end of the Big 12 season than they were at the beginning.

as coach can attest to I was not sure BT would even start if he picked OU ... and i am not convinced that he is better than Noland

You would think that players and their parents would realize that if you are good enough, the NBA will find you no matter where you play.

Personally, I want a coach and players that put the team first. If that means OU gets fewer 5* athletes, then so be it.

So now that he likely isn't coming, we're going to start picking him apart? lol

He's a more talented player than Noland, and yes, he would have started or he wouldn't have come here. I questioned his fit at OU, but it isn't a talent issue.

This one stings. I thought we had BT in the bag. Oh well, onward and upward!

Agreed. Let’s not get weird here. He’s extremely talented and would have started.

again those were my thoughts from last week and the week before ..

Eh that's not that bad, he just said he didn't think he'd start, which does sound like sour grapes. But nobody really knows. Again, hopefully he's happy and resolute with his decision. That being said, that little mini saga is over so let's concentrate on OU. Anybody know anything about Moser's backup prospects?

He played on the same high school team as Phipps and most were gushing over him signing with OU. And, yes of course, he was not the player his teammate is.

It would be a good time to close this thread since it is not relevant any longer. This is beginning to remind me of high school guys getting turned down by the hot cheerleader and then putting her down. It is best to cut your loses, say only positive things and move on. This is all part of the modern recruiting game and I am sure that Moser probably saw what was coming long before the board did. Best to stay pleasantly surprised and positive on the coaches rebuilding this team.

It's still silly to post it, especially now that he isn't coming. Should have just kept those thoughts in your head, IMO. Just seems like sour grapes now, regardless of the conversations you and coach had last week.

It's a message board about the team... boulder is expressing his thoughts on his BT would have fit in the lineup of the team... yeah, totally silly & irrelevant..

This was a done deal at least a week ago. I guess our check didn't clear the bank as quickly as we'd hoped.

abd is proven correct once again.
