That has always been one of the biggest questions about Moser.....how attractive will his offense be to elite scoring guards? We'll know soon enough, b/c he and his staff are putting out a bunch of offers to area guards that are just that, really good scorers with other good offers. Hopefully Moser changes his offense a bit with better talent, but I'm not sure next year is going to showcase that with the a) the guards we have on the roster, and b) a big man like T. Groves that will likely have the offense running through him a lot of the time.
I'm hopeful over time it (perception of Moser's offense to talented scoring guards) won't be an issue, but it might be for the next couple of years.
Boynton gets his guys to play hard but he’s not a great coach. Their offense is a hot mess. OU will beat osu ass regardless of BT. OU has a better team and a better coach. I’ll take that every damn day.
I hope you are right, but in fairness, they did beat us twice a couple months back. This doesn’t appear to be your Travis Ford’s Pokes we’re going up against.
So, do we save the scholly or is there someone else available this late in the game?

Whether or not Moser adapt his style remains to be seen but I assume that he is smart enough to know and to tell recruits that he can open it up a little bit more based on the talent that he brings in. But again that’s just my opinion. I don’t think he will go away from his system completely but I would assume we see either more plays called specifically for players or more iso stuff at times Based on the ability of the players on the floor.
I don't disagree. But if you are a top 25ish player in the country with NBA aspirations, do you take Moser at his word and try to visualize what that might look like, or do you go somewhere where you can point to multiple seasons of a team running the offense you want to be a part of?
From a high level recruit, I could see a skilled big or wing attracted to Moser more than a ball dominant guard.

I'm REALLY curious to see what kind of bigs Moser goes after and lands. Neither Krutwig nor T. Groves were highly recruited, or are overly athletic. Is he going to go after some same kind of players? Guys that may be 3* guys but fit what he wants? Or is he going to find talented bigs that are also more athletic, and get them to Norman? I'm very interested to see how that plays out, b/c ALL of Moser's success has been with Krutwig as his starting center.
I suspect we won't see Moser going after big athletic kids with limited developed skills or a limited basketball IQ. I know at least Sooner04 and myself will be happy about that.
Groves at the time moser got him was very very highly recruited ..

Not even remotely close to what I was talking about.

Hes an actual coach.
