Football question

Post spring SEC rankings have OU in top 5 and some in top 2. I’m sure that upsets Wichita because he thinks we suck and have no talent. I think this team is gonna be very good and compete very well in the SEC.
Wow, we are (potentially) top 5 in post spring rankings -- in our own conference?? Has OU ever attained that level of success before? Forget about national titles and conference championships. This is truly big time stuff.

Also, isn't it funny that in order to take a shot at me, you have to lie in your post?

No lies in that post but keep moving the goal posts. Top 5 in the SEC will be top 12 in the country, competing for the SEC title and in the playoffs. Top 2 in the SEC will be top 3 in the country and in the playoffs. We are gonna be very good and competing for everything, much to your disappointment.

Idiotic post

Sure you lied. I have never once said we have "no talent." I said we need more top 2-3 round players.

And pardon me for not believing that being in the mix for top 12 in the country is/should be our standard. At no prior point in history would OU fans have been excited about that. People were upset Riley's last couple years when we didn't make a four-team playoff. There was some frustration when Bob went a few years between title game/playoff appearances.

And you act as if we have already achieved top 2 in the SEC status, whish isn't remotely true. There is a big difference between that and what we actually did, which was finish tied for 5th (with a head-to-head loss to one of the schools we tied with). We were realistically out of the mix for the conference title game before the end of October.

I don’t lie and you know it. Once again, you’re moving the goalposts. You constantly complain about all things OU. You constantly run down the players, the coaches, every aspect of the program. It’s almost as if you hate OU the way you comment on it.

This OU team is gong to be very good and we will be competing for the SEC title, the playoffs, and the national title. That’s the standard at OU every year since forever. So, whatever you’re crying about is just nonsense. You constantly crap on all things OU and when called OU on it, you claim I’m lying. You’re a pathetic fool.

You blatantly lied. Go find a single post where I said we have “no talent.” That is the exact language you used. So you’re either lying or too dumb to understand that there is a huge difference between me saying we need more early round picks. Either way, you deserve to be called out on it. If you have to lie or exaggerate to moan about what I post, it says a lot about the (lack of) strength of your argument.

And I can’t wait to see how you’ll spin it if they don’t compete for the conference title or come close to competing for a national championship. I’m sure you’ll have excuses. Injuries likely will be at the top of the list, as always, as if every team doesn’t deal with those. I actually think we have a chance to be very good if Mateer doesn’t suck as much as last year, and if we can run the ball. But I think our offensive line lacks depth, and given our recent injury issues there, that puts us in a bad spot if even one or two guys miss time. And I’ve said for four months that we will regret not upgrading the RB room in the portal. Better blocking doesn’t mean our returning RBs will suddenly be able to make guys miss in space. I heard a stat the other day that our yards after contact ranking last season was even worse than our yards before contact ranking. That is on the backs. I hope one of the two freshmen lives up to the hype, but after all the talk the last few years about Tatum, Hicks, Smothers, etc, I’m not counting on a freshman being a game breaker for us. Smothers has/will have the best career of all the newcomers we have had in the past few years, and we essentially didn’t play him.

Here we go again with the myth that freshmen RBs aren't contributors. I've disproven this several times.

Maybe next we can say the defense wasn't elite last year and still not know the difference between QBR and passer efficiency to complete the 50 first dates trifecta from this season.

I think we all know that freshmen RBs can contribute.
But I don't like having to rely on them.

You are the liar and then you play semantics. Typical. You are a dishonest person that continues to move the goal posts to fit your argument. You constantly run down and denigrate every coach and player for OU, then you claim you didn’t technically say that. You are dishonest and you enjoy arguing about everything.

Again, I notice you can’t refute my argument (like I said, find a single post where I said we have no talent), so you keep defaulting to the ad hominem attacks. Just like in the real world, that’s almost always a sign of a losing argument.

I call you names and still run circles around you in every argument. We have 183 pages that show this isn't mutually exclusive.

Google spits that out, but I saw really only one case in that regard and it was a class action I guess. plus supposedly a lot of their "wins" were in fed court, not state (like here). Plus, they may technically "win" but if the TRO/TI holds until the season is over, that is a fake win.

I'm unconvinced that the ncaa is stacking up a ton of wins, unless you can show me something beyond my quick googling
@BoulderSooner

You see this Sorsby case? I'm telling you that the ncaa has no balls and some judges are being straight bought (not balkman tho). There's just too much money at stake now. Expect more of the same.

Yay.. spring TROs/TIs doled out every year for questionable eligibility cases

The judge was pulled outof retirement to make this ruling!!!

Idk if true big 12 teams may boycott but i don’t see it

Big10 and big12 are rumored to be considering boycotting tech. I would support that but I don’t think it will happen.

Remember when we were mocked and called homers for thinking Heineke could get another year of eligibility?

The ncaa has no power. If they can’t even enforce a long standing rule such as no gambling, they can’t enforce anything.

I hate the idea of govt involvement but that is the only way to stop these stupid judges from unjustly interfering. Otherwise, college sports will not survive this. How can you trust the outcome of any game if players are betting on their own teams?

Ncaa needs to demand an expedited appeal due to the "capable of repetition, yet evading review" rule and get in front of a non-lubbock homer judge and absolutely crush this. Hire the best attorneys there are. Id hope that they wouldn't be using theyre in-house, but they might be idk
