Here is a short write up, Will Jennings is working on quotes from Hield himself. Look for them later tonight.

(Quotes from his high school coach, Kyle Linstead have been added).

Great get.

Ranked 94th nationally by Rivals and probably still rising.

Nice scoop Sam/William.

On Criswell, he enjoyed his visit. I feel OU is in the driver's seat, but the University of Kansas has thrown out some feelers, being they are struggling a bit in recruiting.

Nice get. Now maybe people can stop worrying about LK's recruiting. He will recruit on par with anything Kelvin did while at OU, save the monster class that never materialized. And in time, he might pull in a class like that.

Hey WT, Do you think he is good enough to get Pledger's slow footed rear on the bench?

Nope.

Kid is talented, but raw. Raw kids need time to develop. No way he is good enough to bench Pledger (IMO). Now, by the time the kid is a soph/jr, he might be better than Pledger is today, but Pledger will be gone by then. So no, I don't think Hield walks in to a senior lead team, and unseats a likely 3 year starter.

If you are right, then Kruger needs to recruit another SG for 2012

Does that leave us with 1 scholarship or two? And do you think that (those) go to a big or what?
Any chance we can get a quick update on guys that are left that we are recruiting?

Thanks

Ain't gonna happen dude. I know you don't think much of Pledger, but it'd take somebody like a WW to unseat him. We aren't getting a WW-type recruit for 2012. 2013? Maybe.

Why don't you give LK a chance to coach Pledger up this year before writing him off. I think you'll see a much better player. Is he going to turn into Hollis or Erdmann overnight? No. That doesn't mean he can't be a solid starting SG in the Big 12 though. If after this year Pledger is still a massive liability, I'll be right here saying you were right.
