Buddy's engaging personality won me over when I met him at the alumni reunion game prior to his freshman season. I remembered the face, but couldn't recall his name. He stuck out his hand with a big smile on his face and said, "I'm Buddy Hield!"

We will never have another player quite like Buddy. He sets the bar high for himself and everyone around him. And, through all of the accolades and awards he has won and will continue to win, he is still "Buddy Love," a young man from the Bahamas, who remembers and appreciates how far he has comes since he left his humble beginnings.

Buddy Hield is and will always be one of my all-time favorite Sooners! He's definitely one of a kind.
