Heard that the current Connors State sophomore forward was offered this morning.
Played his high school ball at Stringtown.

Anyone know if this is accurate?

Sounds like it couild have happened, OU had strong interest in him, but wanted to see more tape [EDIT: And also an individual workout?]. If so, he is a player that I wanted for OU coming out of HS.

Okay, is that sarcasm or did you really want OU to get him? With Tiny leaving I think OU HAS to get this guy. If nothing else, he'll be a physical presence in the middle that OU doesn't have now. I think he's a Sampson-type player for better or worse.

I agree. This is a positive move, IMO, based on what I've read about the available prospects.

No, I really did want him and Henzo or other guys on the rivals board (if they remember) could attest to that. The issue with him at the time was that he was closer to 6'4" than 6'7", but you always heard good things about him. I think that Henzo thought somewhat highly of him coming out of HS, but there were issues with qualifying.

According to DM, he's really only 6'5" but if he can rebound and play defense like 2 other past players at OU (I won't name them because SeniorSooner is tired of me referencing their names) then we can use him greatly.

He sounds like a glue guy to me...something we sorely missed this past year.

Bottom line is the guy was a First Team JUCO All-American and is from the State of Oklahoma; at this point in time is there anybody who really thinks that we are better off not offering him?

See BOB, you and I actually agreed on something!

I have a used Billy Tubb's glossy that you can borrow to help you get over it BOB.

I have one, too, somewhere, from when I attended basketball camp in 1985.

I actually wore Tommy Tubbs jersey for the photo.

He's really excited about the offer.
