Lets not get too worked up about abd's comment's. After all 15 minutes a game for Kansas or others puts him in pretty good company. I also agree that he should not have to take that many shots a game but "want to and have to" are different things. Most OU fans are expecting a lot out of Cade and he knows it. Add to it other things we are "expecting" him to do and it is a heavy burden he is carrying. For example as the lone senior we are more or less expecting him to get the underclassmen to work and practice like they are supposed to unlike what happed last year. For all intents and purposes he is laying the foundating for the way the team "works" for years to come, that is a lot to expect from one guy. I mean for Jr's we have a walk on and three transfers for pete's sake! With the exception for T.J. Franklin the other three are still learning what is expected of them as Sooners. I know the good things that have been said about Thompson and Osby and Washington but they are still newbies and Cade has to lead. That to me is his toughest job and most important. He needs to be a steady hand on the tiller and guide these guys. The fact that he is going to be relied on day in and day out to be a top player until the rest gets settled in just makes it harder. I realize Cade has limitations but I appreciate him as much for the things he does while the cameras aren't on as when they are. Reguardless of his skill on the court we will miss him when he is gone and should enjoy watching him now. I just feel bad that if he succedes in helping turn things around he won't be here to enjoy the Big Dance again.

The problem is that this is what every thread has become. Everyone argueing with ABD. Maybe we should just rename this website ABDHOOPS.COM. Because thats what it is now.

Any time there is an inferential thread with backhanded compliments, or subtle putdowns to the OU basketball program we should call it "getting ABDed".

Can't wait till the seson starts and we start seeing the "which player would you take" post with some Colorado players stat or some ISU players stats who are better than the OU player's stats. Then when everyone picks the better stats, he reveals it's Joe Schmo from Nebraska and the bad stats belong to a OU player. I wonder which OU player he's going to do this year?

Abdhoops.com eh? I like your style... This is all just temporary, I think. Once the season rolls along and reality sets in I wont stick out like a sore thumb so much. Either that, or the team does everything I said they couldnt or wouldnt do and I get railed on all year, which would of course be better.

ABD, I guess eveyone has their own way of tracking/evaluating our players. I like to look at the stats and follow them as the year goes by, I look at the box score as soon as it is up. I realize that nothing happens in a vacuum but it is still fun. I personally don't plan to rail on you if things go great....I will be too deliriOUsly happy. I did not come into this season expecting too much until the last month, just too many new faces talented or not.
