He's without a doubt going to get some run in the NBA. He's always had the athleticism but now he's added the skills. Putting 32 on Michigan State & the NBA stacked Kansas team is going to rocket him up draft boards.

He has a lot more NBA qualities than Osby.

Does anyone know who has worked with him on this staff to improve so much? Or did they just develop his confidence? He has been beast mode pretty much every game.

playing time this year helps

He's playing basically the same amount he did his sophomore year, but averaging 10 points more.

Compared to last year, his PPG is up about 150%, while his playing time is only up about 50%.

Nice try but his improvement is way more than just due to playing time. It's hard for you to give Kruger and his staff for Cam's development isn't it? :facepalm

To be honest what we are seeing now out of Cam is exactly what we expected based on his freshman season. He was a borderline McDonalds AA. Don't you remember all the baseline windmill dunks and alley oops? He shot .474 from the field and .373 from 3.

The coaching transition was rough on him. Nice to see he has overcome it.

I'll give Kruger and Cam Clark his due. Cam is playing unbelievable. Maybe sending him to the 6th man roll last year gave Clark motivation to put more time in the gym.

I'm Happy for Clark. He was written off and now he becomes a candidate for 1st team all big 12.

Cam shoots the mid range jumper as well as anyone in the country. He is athletic enough to make an NBA roster.

I agree with this, but would add guys his size are plentiful in the NBA. He would really do himself a service by using his athleticism to become a dominant defender/hustle guy. Not sure his handles and his ability to take guys one on one are good enough for the next level, seeing that he isn't a pure shooter.

He will have a chance though, just because of his athleticism. I believe he could be an elite defender if he sets his mind to it......

So glad to see Cam playing so well!!!! Also very happy he didn't give up or lose his confidence when a lot of Sooner fans wrote him off as a bust after a couple of seasons.

He has given himself to make some serious cash playing basketball.

His handles are not great, though they have improved from the "very poor" they were his freshman year. He still makes a lot of predictable dribble moves that can get him into trouble. He has one spin move that teams have seen on tape and started setting up to take the charge.
He goes to the crossover-step back a lot, but it usually creates enough space and he has enough length to get it off even if the defender reads it.

I hope Cam Clark can make it the NBA. I want him to make it in the NBA but what position will he play?

I didn't give Cam much of a chance to make an NBA team his first three years. The athleticism was there, a consistent perimeter shot and the handles to dribble in traffic were not. He has improved so much since last year, I now believe he will at least get a look, even if he has to go the free-agency route or spend a couple of years in the D-League. One thing in his favor is that he can defend at a high level, too.

I couldn't be happier for this young man! He has been an outstanding teammate as well as a model citizen his entire career.

In the NBA he is a 3 and I'm not sure how well that would work for him

That is my point. I don't think he will be able to play an undersized 4 in the NBA and take advantage of the mismatches that he does in college.

I agree, he could never play the 4 in the NBA. If he can't make it as a 3 (or even a 2) his chances are almost nonexistent.

He needs to be catching the eye of folks on the Heat, Spurs, Thunder, Pacers. Sneaking into the last couple of picks of the 1st round is the difference between a long NBA career and just getting cut essentially. The final monetary difference between pick 30 and 31 probaby ends up being 8 figures over the course of a career.
