Seriously, I'm upset but dang is it really this bad?

There has to be some light at the end of tunnel beside the eventual "firing of Jeff Capel".

What is there to hold onto for this season, I mean there has to be something right?

No. Our talent level is pathetic in year 5 of a coaching era. There is absolutely no excuse for that. We are on target to supplant Colorado and Nebraska as the perennial conference doormat with them vacating the conference.

I don't know Sam, not a lot to feel good about right now.

The program is as low as I have ever seen in my 35 years of following OU basketball. I think the talent level is the worst in the Big 12 and the coaching level is not any better. This team may not win a game in the Big 12 this year.

Also, I would feel this way even had OU won the game today at the end. Nothing against Chaminade but today should never happen, it should never even be close between the two schools.

Well, we can't shoot, can't play defense, can't hit FT's, can't keep from turning the ball over. Not much else left. I honestly don't think Capel realizes that defense is part of the game. I guess one positive is our uniforms and the new Nike shoes look good.

I'm still on pace to receive my student tickets refund. . .

Yes, you will be able to buy the cheapest tickets available for the rest of the home games and move all the way down to the front row if you like. Not sure I want to see this train wreck that up close though.

I get to verbally assassinate LaceDarius Dunn on Feb. 1st because we'll be losing so bad I won't care if I get kicked out?

It is just a game of basketball, and the holidays should remind us that there are much more important things in life than the sporting misadventures of a group of 20 year old kids.

Good man.

Here are some positives.

1. Cade Davis - the kid has turned into a heckofu player. He averaged close to 20 ppg in that tourney. Going into the season I wondered if we would have a go-to guy. Now I think we have two guys that we can go to for scoring. Cade and Fitz. Fitz showed early on that we can throw it to him and get buckets. Now if he can just learn to stay out of foul trouble we could have something.

2. Carl Blair - After the first two games I thought it would be a long season without a PG. But Blair seems to have taken that spot, which means we have a true PG that looks to set other people up. Eventually that should help Pledger to get back on track when he penetrates and kicks out. It's just an adjustment right now for Blair and Pledger.

3. Tyler Neal - A few weeks ago I thought Neal might be 11th on the depth chart and we would have to wait a year or two for him to be a factor. But in that 2nd half against Virginia he showed that he can play. He may not be consistent yet but it looks as if he'll get a shot now and can help us on both ends.

4. Depth - For as long as I can remember, we have only played 7 guys. Even in Capel's Elite-8 year and Kelvins' best years we had 5 starters and a couple of guys like Selvy, Spaulding, Heywood, Leary, Patillo or Cade who could contribute off the bench. This team has 10 guys that are all capable of playing some role. Capel hasn't figured out how much to play each guy yet, but if he does, we should be able to withstand injuries that were so costly in the past by plugging in the 8th, 9th or 10 guy and not having a huge dropoff.

How's that for a glass is half-full outlook?

Happy Thanksgiving

Hey coach we just lost 3 straight, 2 we never had a chance and the 3rd was a d-2 school.

The positive thing is, no matter our record this year, we will find a player or two that will battle this year and be on the team the next couple of years during our resurgence...becoming a sort of folk hero out of the ruins that has become OU Basketball....

On a positive note I thought we played harder than last year and I did not have to look at TMG. Have a great Thanksgiving

Playing harder makes some of you happy, but when you don't have the talent to go along with playing harder, then you get the poroduct we are seeing now..GO SOONERS!

Sure, We are Sooners, No doom and Gloom here, we got beat by a pretty good Chaminade team yesterday. No need to pull the gun out and fire bullets into my skull. I am pretty sure this team will bounce back and continue to play hard. I have no idea how many wins we will end up with, and anyone who expected to win a boat load was out of their minds. For those who want Jeff fired just remember that a few years ago we were worried that he was going to Virginia or Georgia. Joe will make the right decision when and if the time comes. For now all I can do is continue to Cheer Like a Champion. BOOMER SOONER and Happy Thanksgiving.

Tyler Neal and his future as a sooner!
Cade Davis Won't Quit!

Thats all i got sam

Actually the only thing positive is that if it keeps going this way Joe C will have no choice but to clean up the mess he created named Jeff Capel.
