Opening comment:
"Congrats to Tech. I'm really embarrassed by our performance. I thought we would have come out ready to fight, desperate for a win. We came out the complete opposite. Texas Tech came out that way and knocked us back early. We were never in the game. I don't know where it came from for us. We had two really good practices (the last two days) and Tech did nothing that we hadn't gone through or talked about. We got beat in every facet of the game -- outcoached, everything. Pat (Knight) had his team more prepared than I did and that's on me. So congrats to them. Their seniors played really well."
On if OU's win over Texas Tech on Jan. 18 led to overconfidence tonight:
"We should never be overconfident. We'd lost seven in a row. You'd think we would be desperate."
On if the crowd and emotion affected the game with it being Senior Night:
"It affects it for the home team. The visiting team should be excited too -- you get a chance to ruin someone's Senior Day. I've had teams that have gone and done that here and at my previous job. It's all about having pride. I certainly think those seniors, especially (Wally) Dunn, really fed off the crowd when he hit that first shot. Obviously that got the crowd even more excited. He was terrific for them. That kid deserved to have his name chanted like it was because he was tremendous all night."
