Clarke to OU, Announcement tomorrow

What exactly do you base this on? Seems like a bit of a stretch to compare a lightly recruited junior college player to one of the best 4-5 post players OU's had in the past decade.

Not like Stone. But, more like Bookout in look and style of play. Not much verticle. But, can get to the rim and score. Now, Don't ask me anymore questions. All I've done on this form is challenge other posters basic premise when they trotted out an opinion. And then when they could offer no real defense of their position. I pointed that out to them. And of course people don't like it when they find themselves in that spot. I don't recall ever singling you out. But, here you come with a tirade of personal insult. As far as I'm concerned, you are in the same group as the other yardbird that seems to be the president of the "ifyou can not win the arguement, change the subject club."

You are right. I don't see his name. I thought he was in.

Again, you base that on what exactly? If your comparison is based on style and not production, you must have either seen him play extensively or spoken with people who have.

Now, Don't ask me anymore questions. ... And then when they could offer no real defense of their position...

So ironic...

The legendary Division 2 (contradiction??) coach this guy speaks about is a moron if he is saying there are that many players coming out of Oklahoma every year who are better prospects than Pledger. If not a moron, he or she is at least senile or a raging drunk who makes outrageous claims to his minions at retirement parties, who of course are more than willing to soak in the knowledge of a legend, and who wouldn't dare question someone that put Division 2 teams into submission, narrowly missing out on the hall of fame. He probably even drinks for free.

My guess, however, is I am actually insulting a ghost. A figment of "this guy's" (sorry, I don't remember the rather mundane username) imagination, I gather.

Kellensooner, I sent you a private message. And Sawyer, Use the Google. It is all there. It takes alittle work going from link to link to link. But, there is alot there. Box scores, article after article, alittle highlight footage, and a scouting report or two. You can even find out what kind of a high school football player he was four years ago. You are just the type of poster that I'm talking about. You want to run your mouth. But, you never ever are willing to the work required to get the info it takes to formulate an informed opinion. Oh, and you broke the don't ask me any more questions rule. Get your answers the same way I did. Look them up.

Funny that you expect other people to back up their opinions, but when asked to do the same you opt for the "it's on the internet, find it yourself" copout.

But, those times that I needed a proof reader, I hired one. Post your resume and I'll give it a look.

Have you met Boca? You two would get along great. He likes to brag about how successful he is, too.

If you can't be bothered to improve on basic skills like spelling and/or typing -- or at the very least to use the spellcheck feature that exists in probably half a dozen apps already on your computer (heck, there's one built into the posting window of the web board) -- then I'm not sure why you think we'd give any weight to your claims of deeply researched knowledge and insight.

Shift the energy you devote to bluster, insults, and pontificating toward composing lucid and civil posts, and you'll get far less blowback.

Let's not overwhelm him. Perhaps, we can just start with the idea of the paragraph.

Nooo. Please, don't make me use the moron word. The difference is, I dug up all the info that I could possibly find over the course of a couple of days BEFORE I took the position that he was probably good enough to do the things Kruger needed his post player to do. I did the same thing with Grooms as soon as he signed and came to the same conclusion on him. Now it was probably my mistake to get caught up argueing with the ready, shoot, aim crowd that based on the quality of their position it was obvious that they hadn't researched jack. But, that doesn't change the likelyhood that I'm on the right side of probability vs a poster that didn't dig alittle.

No. I can not be bothered. I'm too old. And I don't care about the blowback. Now, for the last time. Find a position that I have taken on this board. You take the other side and let's get after it. If you can not do that. You are just an empty suit.

You are too old to learn how to write at something above the 5th grade level?

It is getting late and I have to go on to other things. But, for all you guys that seem to have this great interest in grading papers. The Norman Public Schools are always looking for qualified substitute teachers. I think the job pays $55 a day. I know that sounds low. But, that is pretty much in line with what that skill is worth.

Other things...
