To be honest, I just want to say how good Dayton fans are. They made this a home-like environment for their team. We overcame, but I think they should be proud.

That crowd was less intimidating than I thought they'd be. From tv land they seemed fairly quiet. Also, about the WVU fans rooting for us...couldn't hear them either.

I had relatives who lived in Dayton, so we visited there a lot. It is a really nice city. I even attended a graduation ceremony in UD Arena.

I like their fans but the situation was a challenge for us. Fortunately we persevered.

Just went to check out the Dayton board just to see their reaction to the loss and they've got a few posters making fun of the way Buddy talks. Questioning his IQ and wondering how he got into college. Real class.

I wish we HAD more cocky fans. What we have too many of is posters who have spent this entire season subtly (and sometimes not too subtly) denigrating our team, and the usual suspects were in peak form in the game thread during this win. I finally closed the tab; life's too short to continue wading through their negative nonsense.

They have a lot to be cocky about. They have had a lot of recent success in the tournament. They had a good chance to beat the Sooner's today and gave them all they wanted.
