has this ever happened before in the Big XII. I admit I am concerned it could happen but is that realistic? Has any Big XII team actually gone 0-16?

a&m did in 2003-2004, and baylor did in 1998-99

aTm went 0-16 in Watkins last season as head coach. I believe that was the 2003/04 season.

I believe a number of years the conference had a team only win 1 conference game. OU has never done it and I think the least number of conference wins since the inception of the Big 12 (for OU) is 4 and that was last year.

Looking at soonerstats, from 1998 - 2006, OU won at least 11 conference games every season except the 2003/04 season when we had all the injuries and were starting 4 frosh at the end of the year. I had forgotten the run we were on for 8 out of 9 seasons. (we won 11 games 3 times, 12 games 4 times, and 13 games 1 time). Impressive. Those were the good old days...

dont be so negative! there is NO way OU will go 0-16. cant they play a dang conference game BEFORE you people start giving up on them?

A bunch of posters on here had given up before we played an exhibition game.

FIFY since he is the only one in this thread that said it was a concern for this team

I would be proud of 0-16. Last team to do it. LOL.

No the scary thing is that next year we could go 0-18 if not much changes.

It's crossed my mind. I consider myself a good fan, go to games & never miss one on TV when I can't attend, and I have legitimate concerns about not winning a conference game. I don't think it means I am being negative just means I am honestly evaulating what I have seen.

And its an amazing coincidence that the most negative posters did not attend OU.

Who didn't attend OU? I have two degrees from OU and have personally attended way more than 100 basketball games (every home game from 1988 through 1994, with only a couple of exceptions) as well as several road games.

I have probably attended as many road games as the average student attends in 4 years of school and I have certainly attended way more home games than the average student/alumni attends in a lifetime. The only reason I don't attend games now is I don't live in OKC/Norman. If I did, I would be at every home game (excluding vacations and business travel).

I used to listen to games on AM radio in Denver pre internet days when you lost reception every other minute because the station was coming from Oklahoma. Your concept that you are somehow a better fan than other people simply isn't true. There is plenty of hard evidence to be upset with the performance of Jeff Capel. Things are really bad and it is justified for people to express concern.
