They just showed it on the Big XII Network in between semifinal games. In case anyone was still wondering if it existed after seeing a thousand commercials for it on the Big XII Network.

Thank goodness! That was keeping me up at night! :D

Thousands of commercials all season long so we could see two old hicks from kansas shoot at trash cans for a few minutes. Brilliant.

Hate if you want but dude walked away with 55K. I'd have been happy with the grand in gas the other guy got. Better than that football toss and placekicking they always suck at.

That may be true, but I don't remember any football toss/kick competition ever being hyped as often (and as poorly) as this thing was.

He hit five of six and won 55k. Wish I'd been one of those hicks from Kansas. I usually muted the '66 mascot commercials so I guess I wasn't tired of them. Your fault for watching 1000's of commercials.

My question is why are they still showing the commercial? And why does the OU hat look orange?

CONFIRMED: We have the worst television contract of any BCS conference.

New commercials during basketball games are what I look forward to most about the SEC.

Not all that different than the IRS lawyer and no-credit computer deal commercials we get now.

I'm not sure why the Big 12 assumes all its viewers are poor.

It just goes with the whole motif. Shabby sets, ****ty production quality, studio hosts/announcers/color guys that literally couldn't get a job anywhere else

I realized today that Doug Bell is one of the oddest looking men I've ever seen host the studio side of a major college sporting event.

Also I'm assuming based on the sheer amount of Big XII stuff that they sponsor that Phillips 66 is in good shape financially. That being said, why couldn't they just pony up an extra 11k and give the winner 66k instead of the seemingly arbitrary amount of 55k?

The young people today play beer pong rather than quarters. I suspect that is why they did it.

If their goal was to appeal to the youth demographic, then having two middle aged kansans throwing basketballs at trash cans between games was probably not a great idea.

And their commercials certainly didn't seem geared toward young people.

Six shots. 11K per made shot. He made five shots. Hence 55K. If you want to start running a pay no matter what the result game then I'll be the first to sign up for that.

One guy was chosen from the internet and the other in a drawing outside at the fan fest. It could as easily been two 18 year olds.
