no dude, you're a clown. You think Capel would screw up with the talent that KU and ut haS? John Wooden couldnt coach this roster. Doc Sadler, Mike Anderson, hell, even Eddie an d Kelvin would be in the same boat. Some of you guys hatred for Capel clouds reality. The reality is he has recruited poorly. He mortgaged the farm for some malcontents and he had to scramble to get hand me downs. The second best player in this class was ready to sign with southern nazerene.

So when you blame Capel or want him fired, atleast fire him for the right reasons, poor player evaluation and recruiting. This bunch couldnt win the summit.

He couldnt win the conference with the best player on the planet.

Every one of the coaches you mention would win 3-5 more games than we have won.

I think it's funny you say he should be fired because he can't recruit yet 90% of the capel supporters point to his recruiting as the reason to keep him.

"They" can't be back if " they" never left...... Can't you see that we have a nucleus of fans that just like to complain?? I mean come on, these are the same people who scream fire every football coach that we have on a weekly basis. The same ones who complained about KS, complained about Tubbs, etc.

Somewhere Kelvin is laughing at the whole lot of message board posters who are crying for a defensive oriented coach who will " just get us to the dance". That is exactly what the cry AGAINST KS was.

I love OU, but we have some of the most bi-polar fans in the nation, IMO.....

Let me be very clear. I have never complained about Bob Stoops and I never complained about Kelvin Sampson. Did I ever get frustrated with 10 minute scoring droughts? You bet, but I realized we played good enough defense to overcome the scoring droughts.

I also never complained about Tubbs because he earned a few down years IMO.

Don't lump me in with other fans that may have complained about any or all of the coaches listed because it's simply not true.

I am on record as saying he should get another year based on winning 3 more conference games than he should have. Now he's lost about 3 games we should have won, so maybe it's balanced out, but I'm not going to change my mind.

I still say that your statement to give him the KU roster or the Texas roster and he would do the same as Self or Barnes is 100% clown post. Capel doesn't coach defense or toughness like Self and he's not a disciplinarian. The big stud for Texas from Cali would be running that team and Capel would be listening to Jay-Z.

There's not much to look forward to is why. Osby is about the only newcomer (Goff, nah) and the rest of the guys are good to average players. There's not a great player on the team right now and Capel isn't recruiting anyone that excites a fanbase either. If anyone sees OU going to the NCAA tourney next year, they're delusional.

I commented the wrong post of yours. I was actually talking about your reply to DM that was a reply to me. Seemed like you were lumping me in with fans who bashed Kelvin, Bob, and Billy and that's not true.

Don't worry DM, it will be the same stuff. New coach, tons of hope, spirit, and expectation, and once 2 or 3 yrs go by with no Nat'l. Title, they will begin to call for his head. Its the way our fanbase works. BIPOLAR fans across the board. I mean come on, some of these guys wanted to fire Stoops last yr after he lost 1/2 of a roster to the draft/graduation/injuries. That right there tells me all that I need to know about the brilliant fans who DESERVE a better product by gawd!!!!!!:ez-laugh::ez-laugh:

Didn't think that was your style.... Anyway, back to the subject at hand. I actually never saw you bash KS, and I don't remember seeing you on the football board, so no, I was not talking about you. There are a few who slide in over here, flame away, and go back to the football boards. I don't care if the football only crowd hangs out during the off-season. I'm a big football fan as well, but many of them show their ignorance when they TRY to discuss hoops.... I guess that I should have been more clear.

x2. There are a lot of things you can blame Capel for. The 'horns beating Blake into a concussion isn't one of them, & FTR, I blame the refs in that game more than I do the 'horns. They let more go in that game than any I've ever seen.
