Cousins shot

OK, Ada here is my feeble attempt..... Just trying to understand how serious Isaiah's gunshot wound is. I know he is going to be OK but it may effect his basketball development more than they are letting on.

Does anyone know exactly where Cousins was shot? Left or right shoulder? I would think the right shoulder would cause more issues because he is right handed. It has to effect his range of motion. Also, there are 3 major bones (collarbone, shoulder blade, and humerus) and 3 joints in the shoulder. What area of the sholder was he shot? I know he didn't require surgery and it said he was struck in the back of the shoulder, but did the bullet strike any of the bones or joints? Did the bullet pass thru or just take a glancing blow? I assume if the bullet had been in him, it would have required surgery. Has there been any update on the recovery time? Could this force him to redshirt?

Usedtobe1, I'm betting the bullet didn't do any damage to the bones in his shoulder. The article I posted earlier today said he was released from the hospital the next morning. That seems to suggest that the bullet grazed his shoulder or it was a clean pass thru with no significant damage to bones, muscle groups or blood vessels.

Since he is expected to participate in team workouts this month, it seems clear that he will not suffer any lingering effects of the accidental shooting. On the whole, I would say that he's an extremely fortunate young man. Not that bad things can't happen here, but I'm glad he will be back in Oklahoma soon.
