Hield draws the top defensive assignments from all the teams because of his reputation allowing Cousins and others a chance to expand their game good for them makes the team better

His game reminds me of Wille Warren as they both loved to shoot the 3 ball and drive to the hoop a bunch.

This is very unfair to Buddy Hield. Buddy is second on the team at getting to the line. Cousins had only taken 4 more shots from inside the 3 point line than Buddy. Buddy is the fourth leading rebounder on the team. Buddy has less turn overs and more steals than Cousins. Buddy is shooting .373 from 3 point range on the season.

I don't get why some OU fans need to take shots at our team.

How many teams do you know where every player is the equivalent of the other? Since an accurate assessment will be very few, since everyone has different skill sets and brings something different to the table (court), then players on a team are going to be compared to each other like it or not. It is obvious that Isaiah has more of a complete offensive game than Buddy. Does that make Buddy a poor player? No, it does anything but, but at the same time people should feel free to make these observational critiques unencumbered of the bleeding heart sentiment typified by your previous post.

He should have less TOs he handles the ball less than cousins.

I've just been disappointed in hields shot selection at times... imo sometimes it's to the point of almost selfishness and detrimental to the team when he jacks his contested 3s

Buddy is the focus of the opposing teams and get's their best defender on him every game. Should he drive more yes, but he hasn't gotten the ball where he can be more effective like against UCLA. Where he was getting the ball on the break and using his one on one skills it appeared to me afterwards in my opinion and observation that the passers won't call there name avoided him on the break against Butler and Wisconsin. I sat near some NBA scouts who wondered the same as well. Cousins has a great game but no need to kick Hield an establish inside out game with Spangs and Thomas being the starting point can take this team to the elite 8 and further imo

Isaiah has improved every year and as an overall player has probably surpassed Buddy. They both work very hard on their game which is great for the program.
As of right now the NBA scouts are looking more at Cousins but it may change again.

If Cousins is not the best player on the team right now, he is definitely the most improved. Think about how far he has come since he was a freshman and some here were asking why he had been given a scholarship.

Isaiah is a prime example of what hard work and dedication can do.

Both Isaiah and Buddy are good NBA prospects. If Isaiah shows consistency over the season then he will get looks. Look at how Wayne Selden has fallen of the NBA radar because of consistency and Norman Powell has dropped as well if both Buddy and Isaiah stay consistent then OU will be looking to replace two good players.

I love his improvement since he's been in Norman. Quite remarkable and shows just how hard he works.

I hope he works on the mental / emotional part of the game. The UW game wasn't the first time he's gotten "chippy" on the court. The takedown maneuver on Saturday was ridiculous.
