Cousins

Not really but you never know with any of the players. Buddy was a big risk before the season but he isn't at this time.

I went to the Washington game with an ex college coach and now an NBA scout. Let's just put it this way, he said Buddy was at best D league material now. Mentioned lack of focus, discipline and below average handle. Even said although he can hot from 3, game in game out he is a below average 3 point shooter. Of course, that was just his opinion and I'm sure there are others that might think differently.

Very interesting take on my Buddy. I think if he averages 17 plus points he should leave there is nothing else he need to prove at this level. There was a reason he was selected to the Lebron and KD camps and got rave reviews.

Scouts evaluate in big games like Wisconsin and Washington so far. They could care less about the camps except that it does put players like Buddy on their radar.

Actually Jerry camps show scouts what you do outside of your team system haven't you notice that player who do well on their perspective teams when they go to the NBA camps there stock drops because they can't play outside the system and and vice versa some guys play poor on their perspective teams go to NBA camps and thrive

All I am telling you is what a real NBA scout said watching the game. There is more to the NBA than having a good personality, smile and making a 3 every once in a while. Buddy has a lot work on.

Point taken Jerry and I watched the Battle for Atlantis and talked to scouts as well sat in the back with a few. Buddy has had a chippy start to this season yes I think he will bounce back it is good Isaiah has raised his level of play to help the team.

Let's take a look at Bryce Alford who plays for his dad and does a fine job at UCLA do you think he will thrive if he had to play for another coach. Ask Zach Levine how hard it was playing for Alford when he is in direct competition with his son. Zach got out and went pretty high in the draft considering his stats because scouts knew he had game from watching him at camps...

Yeah right now Cousins is rated higher by most than Buddy because his game is more complete. While I sometimes don't like the edge Cousins plays with the NBA guys love it. Either way I wish the very best to both because they work hard and represent OU basketball very well.

By the way Zach is a great example for Buddy. Zach is a below average shooter, but has great athleticism and is a gritty player the NBA likes.

I agree good stuff Jerry hopefully they can both play well and take the team far

OK Jerry not saying you are wrong just pointing something out to you. For the record Ainge isnt to high on my scouting list this is the guy who drafted Marcus Smart and traded Rondo. Unbelievable a true point guard Rondo for Marcus Smart a shooting guard jeez any I digress will see what June fortells

That was strictly a payroll decision and to accumulate draft picks. I think they have 2 first rounders and 3 second rounders. I'm a Mavs fan so i'm glad they have Rondo.

Actually I hope you are right and I'm wrong about Buddy because I like the kid. I'm just not as high on his total game as some are.

You are obviously a relative of Buddy. Hope he makes a good decision. Obviously, OU fans would love him back. The advantage of returning is that OU should be really good and it would be more hype for him.

He is a great kid!

Nope not a relative met the kid once at a game called him out he hailed I turned my back and he came back tap me on the shoulder and shook my hand kid has great character. I have extensive basketball experience know a lot of professional players and met a lot of top D 1 coaches.

Maybe you guys can get Buddy to convince this guy to come to O.U. http://www.nbadraft.net/players/deandre-ayton

The kid is a beast saw him play against North Carolina this summer dominated there big men had 17 points 19 rebounds only in tenth grade.

Wowser! That kid has crazy skills. He also has a nice stroke for someone his size.

I wonder if OU knows about him? Reign him in, Buddy!!!

Roy Williams was drooling at the lips this summer, I heard through the grapevine that Kansas is making a move on him.
