I was talking to my buddy who is a die hard KU fan. He said if OU doesn't play mainly zone against KU, then Lon should be fired. What he meant is that KU cannot handle zone defense really well (not that Lon should really be fired). He said Wiggins just sits out on three point line. He said Ellis is soft around the rim (but we pretty much all know that). He is very concerned about this game.

Has anyone watched KU very much this year? If so, are they that bad on offense against the zone?

Haven't seen much this year, but if OU can keep KU out of transition and force them into jump shots in the half court, KU will struggle to score.

OU needs to beat them tomorrow. Self will get them going. They are super young, at times 3-4 freshmen on the floor at the same time.

OU will need to get back in transition. KU will look to score on the break. and then hi-low offense. I think they'll really try to pound it inside to get us in foul trouble.

Cam and Spangler as always are going to be huge on the def. end of the floor.

They have really struggled against zone. They turn it over way too much with pressure. We will struggle to rebound, but we would struggle to rebound in man too. I bet we see a lot of 1-3-1

Kansas has had issues shooting the ball this year. They also have very little confidence in their point guard play. All of their losses have been to quality (NCAA Tournament) teams - Nova, Florida, Colorado, San Diego St. They are a good, but not great team at this point in the season. They have the look of one of your typical Kansas teams.....long, athletic, and they defend.

It will be a tough chore tomorrow night, but it can be done. We need a big game out of Woodard, Clark, and Spangler.

If Spangler gets in serious foul trouble, OU is in deep trouble.

Embiid and Ellis will have a field day.

Have to find a way to hide Woodard on defense. He has been better than most freshmen on offense, but has a long ways to go defensively.

Zone baby Zone... I dont think Woodard is that bad on def...

That was really the case last year as well and how OU beat them in Norman.

I think we should try defending someone....it might as well be Kansas.

This sums KU up very well. Their frontcourt may be the best in the big 12 so you must pack it in against them.
