I had an idea that might be the case. He would have to be really special to get an offer this early in his career at the point position.

At 6' 4" I like his size, though. If he continues to develop his skills at the point he could move into that "special" category down the road a ways.

McDowell was setting behind the OU bench at the Kansas game Wednesday night.

McDowell has committed to Tulsa.

I see it hard for him to stay unless there is a connection. He has some bigger D1 offers... Kid can play.

He'll only get more attention the next 2 yrs.

Having watched McDowell play live, I think Tulsa is about the right level for him. He's not incredibly quick or a great shooter.

And his on-court demeanor was lacking. He plays on a pretty average or worse Southeast team, and he didn't have much patience for guys that weren't playing to his standards.

He definitely has a knack for scoring and is very competitive.
