Is tweeting about how he is going to commit to OU. Guess he visited on Sunday

"DEVONTE is a long and lean paint player with a raw overall game. He is agile and active in the paint, runs the floor well, is bouncy at the rim and goes after rebounds. He can catch and finish at the rim, can score off the offensive boards and knows his game is to hang around the goal. He will need time to develop his game and add strength to his frame but he is an intriguing prospect who could develop a couple of years down the line."
 
If this is true does that mean they're no longer in the Randle sweepstakes?
 
On the highlight video he posted he comments below and it says (next to his name) he attends the University of Oklahoma.
 
Whoa. Reminds me of that kid who played a Memphis a while back who could flat-out jump out of the gym, and later played for the Globetrotters.

Very interesting news to say the least. No doubt in my mind they'll make room from Randle if he wants to come.
 
Does the kid not even have a recruiting profile on ESPN, or am I just missing it?
 
I just talked to the coaches at a luncheon and they will take Randle or a big time
transfer. Otherwise, they will hold the scholarship for 2014.
 
If this commit is legit, then its the first Kruger commit I am down on...I trust the coach, but I kind of hope this is bogus...

I couldn't find anything on Devonte Robinson the basketball player at first. Another Devonte Robinson, a 6' 1" football player, kept getting in the way. I finally added his high school to the search and found the video I posted.

~A 2013 recruit that no service has a profile on at all.
~I guess I'm weird but I wasn't at all impressed with his athleticism in that video, particularly for someone 6'7" with his body type. He looks like a gather jumper...slow off the floor, plus it looks like he's just clearing the rim on most of the clips. Honestly, he doesn't look terribly athletic to me.
~I hate to judge anyone on this stuff, but it seems to be a decent indicator with these guys a lot of the time...his Twitter feed is a trainwreck. I just don't get it. But like I said, I trust Kroog...he knows what he's doing a hell of a lot better than I do. I just don't see this kid being an impact player.

Agreed.

I'm not going to sit here and talk bad about the kid or Kruger, but this seems a bit odd to me.

Just seems like we could grab a kid like this anytime we want. He certainly isn't "needed" for next year. And if we start winning more, like I think we all assume we will, we should be able to get in on bigger fish.
