Dildy to Duke

Did this start at OU or was it a problem that Porter had at Loyola?

Don’t fall for his misinformation attempt. After all, his user name is “Seymore Cox” not “Seymore Practices”

Asst job is Clayton Custer if he wants to move back.

Limited coaching output and long hours. They’re in the office until 7 and 8 o clock sometimes. Especially after losses.

That doesn't mean he doesn't give his assistants a voice...and LOTS of staffs stay late often....i guarantee the good ones do.

Where do you come up with the "limited coaching output"idea? Can you be more in depth

Where do you think I came up with it. Their reason for the turnover. Another assistant is floating his name out there for a place to land next year.

Also, the reason the Oregon assistant came over is because this is Altman’s last year of coaching.

Actually it just sounds like you made it up from your own personal opinion with no facts behind it. That is why I asked if you had actual inside info.

This is a good story. Keep going!

So instead of being a potential "coach in waiting"... He left?

He wanted a more stable head coaching situation, so he came for a potential make-or-break year for Moser? Not sure that checks out.

He’s making it up.

Altman May be done. That’s been rumored for years. So it could strike.

His assistants are also complaining that he forgets what he calls after he leaves the huddle. He’s just wounded up pretty tight.

Where are you getting this?
Seriously?

Do you know an assistant personally?

Or is it just your professional "observation"?

I for one have a long-standing policy to take as gospel every statement made by a poster whose handle is a penis joke. It's never failed me yet.

Can’t say.

Well, to be honest, your statement about them staying at the office late made you sound pretty clueless about the college coaching profession...so it makes me take your other takes with a grain of salt.

This post doesn't help either.

He is a grinder. Long hours. Ive said that before. Other stuff is straight hot garbage. From an assistants mouth. That’s my source.

So you asked an assistant coach if Moser calls a play in the huddle then forgets it?

That would be a strange question.

The poster making these claims has had solid information in the past. I'll leave it at that.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Assistant coaches are upset about 1. Long hours and 2. Moser forgets the plays he calls in the heat of the game.

I've spent a fair bit of assistant coaching at the high school level and 1. I will stay after a loss with the head coach and go over every aspect of the game. Sometimes it takes alwhile. We may not watch film but again, it's high school level. Principle still applies. And 2. If my headcoach forgets a play he calls in the huddle I would just remind him. That's kind of part of whole assistant coaching thing.

And I'll tell you what, I sure get paid ALOT less than OU assistant coaches.

Again, I could be misunderstanding things, but if assistant coaches are leaving/upset and those are the two complaints then maybe they should find a new career.

I'm concerned with the high turnover rate among assistant coaches, but I find it hard to believe it's for minor reasons.
