This simply isn't true.

As you can see, the Colonial Athletic Conference is much better than C-USA. This is not the C-USA of Cincinnati and others. Middle Tennessee is their best team and there's a lot of awful there. Additionally, Rice's defense was 219th in the country last year.
There's no doubt in my mind this guy can score. I question whether or not he can defend at the level Kruger's going to need him to defend if he's going to play 30 minutes per game. So I doubt he's a 30 mpg player for us. Does that mean he's not worth taking? Not at all. He'll undoubtedly make us better.
But just judging by this thread, I see a lot of potential for people on this board to have higher expectations for Egor than are reasonable, the same way many here had too high expectations for James going into this season. So I'm going conservative with him...a 15-20 mpg shooter who comes off the bench and knocks down some shots but also a guy we're going to need to help defensively. I'd love to be wrong and for him to be better than that. But anyone who's expecting him to come in and score 15-18 ppg as he did for Rice, I think, is setting themselves up to be severely disappointed.
I'll also add that I don't think we need to add an 18 ppg scorer. Obviously, more is better than less provided he doesn't give them all back on the defensive end, but this team isn't that far away from being a really good team. We don't need Egor to be some savior. We need a nice supplemental scorer to stretch the opposing defense. I think he probably offers that.
