He would be a great add for about 15 minutes per game. I'd still rather have a guy who can score in the post but a legit 3 pt shooter would be the 2nd best option.
Yes, I did. Can you tell me what it means?
15 mins in the first half and 12 more in the 2nd half.
Maybe he's actually better than I imagine he is...I hope so. I see him as a pure shooter who comes off the bench to shoot 3's but struggles to guard Big 12 2's and 3's.
If you're right, and he's better than I'm imagining, obviously I'll take it. But I'll take it even if he's a 6th or 7th guy and comes off the bench to hit 3's.
1. yes, I can.
2. Not sure if I have a definition within mine.
3. I think it means you want to show off your fabulous powers of speeling.
I think Oleg was from Ukraine. Egor is Israeli. Watched a Rice interview he did. Says he goes back every summer to play with the youth national team he grew up with. This past summer he said basketball took a back seat to fulfill his bootcamp training he is required to take. Still has three years to serve but can fulfill that commitment later. Bright kid, think he'd transition well into the Kruger system. Mental toughness, intestinal fortitude, pain is weakness leaving the body kinda mindset comes in handy under late game pressure situations. Standing 6'5", he notched 14 double digit rebounds games, (5 more games with 9 rebounds) while being a very efficient scorer. He is what i envisioned Grandstaff bringing to the court with his shooting ability but Egor's rebounding numbers stand out as well. Effort player with a high skill set would be a really nice to add this late and fill multiple areas of needed improvement. Not sure how good defensively he is but I remember long offensive dry spells I think he could help alleviate.

You're serious right now? The guy was a first team all conference performer who averaged double digits in nearly points AND rebounds a game. Not to mention he can stroke it. Much better than what we have right now. He would start and play most of each game.
I wonder if he'd be OU's first Jewish basketball player. That would be cool.
You know he can guard Big 12 guards? You know he can score against Big 12 competition? He was a great shooter in Conference USA. He's not averaging double figures in rebounds in the Big 12. And you're basing your statement that he's "much better than what we have right now" on those C-USA stats from him playing for Rice?
Canyon Barry was a similar player at College of Charleston before transferring to Florida. He averaged about 21 minutes per game this year. I'm betting your expectations for this guy are too high but I hope you're right about how great he is.
I can't help but wonder if you're one of those who predicted James would be first team all Big 12 this season.
