People need to show up and stay! I drove 3 hours and love watching these guys play. The crowd today was a little above average I thought. Top 10 teams needs more people there, that's all I was bothered by this on the way home.

There were 6,500 there today. That is beyond horrible for a Top 10 team hosting a power-conference opponent that went to the National Championship last year, but at this point it's futile to expect anything else.

Holiday weekends aren't always good for attendance. I was on an airplane, or I would have been there!

The weather probably hurt attendance quite a bit. I drove up the H.E. Bailey Turnpike this morning and got my car clipped by a falling piece of ice off a power line. Luckily the ice was kind of soft and didn't do any damage. But I was starting to wonder if I should have turned back.

Yikes!

I was there, but I needed an extra ticket. Looked at soonersports.com and a single ticket in the lower bowl on the baseline was $80!!!

I saw quire a few Wisconsin fans in Norman on Saturday, at BJs Restaurant before the game, and inside the LNC. They were scattered about the LNC, but had little to cheer about.

Yep, they didn't make much noise!

Was I the only one annoyed by the standing ovation for the football team walking into the arena when play was still going on!?!?! Drove me crazy. Props to the football team, they are going to the playoff, but people who were sitting the whole game for the #7 basketball team in the nation still stood up just because the football players were walking in.
Basketball just isn't respected here.

i kinda get what youre saying.. but on the other hand it was really cool that the football team came out to support the basketball team. ou basketball will never get enough credit.. just how it is

I didn't mind the halftime thing. Just the moment when the football team came in with about 10 minutes left in the half and everyone stopped paying attention to the game to cheer them walking in the middle isle

Only thing that bothered me was that we kind of went into a scoring drought immediately after that.

Also, I saw Sam Presti in the parking lot after the game. He was parked in a worse spot than me. The university needs to get him a better spot.

I was also in attendance and could've sworn there was more than 6,500 in attendance. It looked way more than halfway full, but maybe everyone was spread out just enough to affect my perception.

That huge football win was just 14 hours old at that point, and Oklahoma is undeniably football country. I understand your point, but I think the crowd's reaction was understandable.

I can imagine something similar (on a smaller scale) happening if the Sooner men entered Memorial Stadium mid-game having just secured a Final Four berth (especially if the Sooners had a comfortable lead).

I know it couldn't happen, since football's long since over by March, and it would definitely be a smaller reaction because of the disparity in the size of the two venues, but I could see the basketball team getting some love from the football crowd if it did happen.

I think that the crowd reacted to how the team was playing... steady but unexciting.
If we pressed full court and created some turnovers and dunks, then there would be some thing to stand up for. We did not even pressure any.

Our defense pressured Wisconsin the entire game. They shot about 30% from the field. We didn't play a perfect game by any stretch but it's silly to suggest that we didn't pressure them. We played with a ton of energy and challenged for every loose ball. Surely none of those in attendance expected Billy-ball.
